Understanding who we are today requires going back to our roots as a local, independent McAllen title company. Our story begins in the early 1900s in Edinburg, TX, where in 1919 Ernest Smith established Valley Land Title Co.’s forerunner, Valley Abstract Company. In 1964, his son Blucher Smith and his wife continued operating the company, strengthening the foundation of what would become one of the Valley’s most trusted property title companies.

Throughout the years, our company has experienced name changes and new ownership, but we have always remained committed to providing reliable Hidalgo County title services, trusted title insurance, and smooth real estate closingsfor our community. We are rooted here — and we truly know the Valley.
